Catching Up With Friends

Our lives are permanently changing as we grow older, leave school, change jobs, get married, have children, move away, etc. So it’s no wonder that friendships can sometimes become less of a priority and take a back seat. But humans are social beings and having good relationships is essential for long-term happiness and a general sense of well-being. So you know that friend that you have been meaning to catch up with? Or that someone from years ago that you have wanted to get in touch with again? Well, today is the day to do just that.

Sometimes it can be a little nerve-wracking taking the first step but quite often it’s a move you will wish you had taken sooner. Nowadays we can easily stay connected and up to date with acquaintances of old via social media but this is a long way off from being in touch personally. Often the stuff that gets posted on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc are ‘highlight reels’ of what’s really going on in people”s lives. This means that most tend to share just their best moments in life for all to see. By taking the plunge and making that call, sending that text or writing that email you will rekindle ‘real’ contact and soon be chatting away like old times.
